Die Therapie des Unterkiefer-Caninus-Steilstandes drittenGrades wird an 40 Hunden unter Verwendung von Aufbiss-Schienen, Gummizügen und Dehnschrauben gezeigt. Eswerden sowohl skelettal als auch dentoalveolär fehlgestellteCanini korrigiert. Die kieferorthopädische Behandlung istin allen Fällen erfolgreich. Nach Abschluss der Behandlunghaben die Patienten ein funktionelles Gebiss ohne Selbsttraumatisierung.Die Behandlungsdauer erstreckt sich übereinen Zeitraum von 16–141 Tagen.Summary
Third-degree base-narrow canines – orthodontic treatmentwith inclined plane, power chains and power sourcesBase-narrow or lingually displaced mandibular canines in40 dogs were treated with acrylic inclined planes, powerchains and power sources. Both dentoalveolar-displacedcanine teeth and cases of mandibulary brachygnathiacould be corrected successfully in all the patients usingthis form of orthodontic treatment. After completion ofthe therapy, the mandibular canine teeth no longer causedocclusal damage to the palate. The time required for theorthodontic treatment varied from 16 to 141 days.
