Zusammenfassung

Dermatophytosen sind Infektionen der Haustiere, die Haut,Haare und Nägel befallen. Sie können auf den Menschenübertragen werden und je nach Immunstatus mehr oderweniger schwerwiegende Läsionen hervorrufen. EineBehandlung der Dermatophytose hat daher zur Aufgabe,das Tier zu heilen sowie eine Ansteckung des Menschenund eine Umgebungskontamination zu verhindern. Dazugehören neben der systemischen eine topische Therapiesowie die Behandlung der Umgebung, um eine klinischeund mykologische Heilung und eine Umgebungssanierungzu erzielen. Der vorliegende Beitrag gibt eine Zusammenfassungder zur Verfügung stehenden Therapien inklusiveder Vakzine.

Dematophytosis therapy update
Dermatophytosis is a cutaneous infection of pets and smallmammals affecting the skin, hairs and nails. It is a zoonosisand can provoke serious lesions in people depending ontheir immune status. The principal goal of therapy, therefore,is to treat the affected animal and to prevent humaninfection and contamination of the environment. Systemic,topical and environmental treatment should be aimed atachieving a clinical and mycological cure and a decontaminationof the environment. The article summarises thecurrent treatment options including vaccination.
